I was tasked with this assignment: Start with an essay you've already completed. Recreate it in a different form. 

 

I chose to branch off from my Where I am From poem, an intensely personal poem about myself and my family, and focus on human emotion more generally. To do so, I created the powerful visual you see below.  We all have many faces. The good. The bad. The ugly. The angry. We all experience successes, hardships, disappointments, loss and happiness. These are my faces as I walk through life and its challenges. But I bet yours' look similar.  This video is an honest representation of my emotion and the twists and turns of human emotion to a larger degree – another piece to add to my repertoire of personal work.
